He met his future partner Madeon, who went by the aliases “Daemon” and “Wayne Mont,” while uploading his early work on online forums. He made “hands up” music available through YAWA Records from 2005 to 2010 under the name “Ekowraith.” Robinson then started creating music, which he coined “complextro,” embellishing it with melodies drawn from classical music and intricate fills.

In 2010, Robinson began putting out music under his own name. He released a number of original tunes on Glamara Records and Big Fish Recordings. “Say My Name,” one of his most well-known releases, peaked at number one on Beatport and catapulted Robinson into the mainstream of dance music. At the age of 18, Robinson began to gain international attention, which caught the attention of dubstep producer Skrillex. In order to distribute the eleven-track Spitfire, he inked a one-EP agreement with Owsla, a brand-new label run by Skrillex at the time.
